Time + Tide Chongwe Camp
Time + Tide Chongwe Camp is a relaxed riverside camp in the Lower Zambezi, set where the Chongwe River meets the mighty Zambezi. The camp has eight classic safari tents, each with an en suite bathroom, open air shower, private outdoor seating area, overhead fan, charge station and WiFi in the tent. Local textiles and handcrafted furniture give the tents an easy, natural style, while the river views bring wildlife close from morning to night.
The main lodge includes dining areas, a lounge, bar, campfire and pool, all designed for unhurried time between activities. The camp’s location offers access to the Lower Zambezi’s diverse safari offering. Guests can enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, walking safaris, cultural visits, seasonal boat cruises, seasonal canoeing and seasonal tiger fishing. The wildlife hide is a useful addition for photographers and guests who enjoy slower observation, particularly around nocturnal and smaller species. The Time + Tide Sleepout Under the Stars can also be added for a night in a more remote setting.
Chongwe Camp is open from 1 April to 15 November and welcomes children of all ages. Rates include accommodation, all meals, standard drinks, transfers to and from the local airport except Jeki, local inter camp road transfers, laundry, service charge and two daily activities. Reserve spirits, premium wines and champagnes, flights, visas, spa treatments, gratuities and personal expenses are excluded.
