ABOUT US

At Discover Zambia we have a passion for showing the world the Zambia that we see: a place of extreme beauty, rich in its diversity, lush and serene. A beacon of nature where peace reigns and spirits are rekindled.

Owing to the fact that Zambia was not occupying the space in people’s minds that it deserves, as a world class travel destination, Discover Zambia was born on Instagram.

Today, we are rooted in the largest social media travel community showcasing Zambia.

If you asked me what I love the most about Zambia, I would say it’s the magnificent beauty of the country and the warmness of its people. As founder of Discover Zambia, my passion and commitment for the country has largely been driven by the need to showcase its hidden beauty. Being part of the Discover Zambia team allows me to show the world how uniquely different our country is and why it is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful destinations on the continent. If you love untamed wild spaces, chasing waterfalls, rich cultures, scrumptious African cuisines and happy people, come DISCOVER ZAMBIA.

I was born in Zambia and always had a passion for nature and the outdoors, something that stemmed from my childhood and family trips. From travelling to Siavonga in Zambia’s Southern Province to camping on the banks of the Zambezi River. I lived in the UK and moved back home to Zambia 8 years ago and never looked back! I am currently enjoying exploring my country and all that it has to offer. Being a part of Discover Zambia allows me to show our beautiful country to the world in a creative and unique way.

Everyone I know has heard me celebrate Zambia on probably one too many occasions! I first fell in love with the country when I temporarily moved to report on Zambia for The Times and later for The Daily Telegraph in the UK. After having lived in over 15 countries, Zambia is still my favourite destination and the place I will always choose to experience an incredible sense of peace and beauty.  Discover Zambia allows me to share this gem with the world in the hopes that others will also decide to visit Zambia and be transformed by the experience.

TESTIMONIALS

"In late 2020 we at Kaingu Lodge teamed up with Discover Zambia who promoted us on their social media and even created a mini landing page on their website for the special offer.  The promotion resulted in dozens of enquiries and some very nice bookings.  Chilalo and his team not only really understand marketing and social media, but are an absolute pleasure to work with.  I would wholeheartedly recommend Discover Zambia"
