Kuyenda Bushcamp

Set beneath shady trees by the Manzi River, Kuyenda Bush Camp’s remote location in the stunning South Luangwa National Park is truly magical.
As one of The Bushcamp Company's six exclusive bush camps, Kuyenda is their most minimalist camp, providing an authentic old-style safari experience. The main activity in this untamed area is walking safaris, especially in some of South Luangwa’s most stunning and diverse landscapes. The legendary walking safari originated in South Luangwa National Park and is still one of the best ways to experience this magnificent wilderness first hand.

There are over 100 species of mammals and over 400 different bird species in the park. If you want to get even further afield from Kuyenda, afternoon and night game drives are also on offer.

Kuyenda Bush Camp’s four simple yet comfortable reed-and-thatch chalets are en-suite, complete with lanterns and mosquito netting. Rooms are spacious, 2 are twins with queen-sized beds, the other 2 are doubles with big king beds. You'll find canvas chairs for sitting outside amongst the wildlife and lounging chairs inside, so you can sit and marvel at the view through panoramic windows. Three of the four chalets have spectacular views of the Manzi River.

The fourth is a little further out, looking over plains frequented by impala and puku and sometimes, elephants and buffalo. The thatched main area of the small camp and nucleus of all activities is where you'll find the dining area, a library, the bar and space for lots of comfy deckchairs. Enjoy delicious meals in the dining area or out in the open, under the stars in the evening.
