Chinzombo
Time + Tide Chinzombo is one of South Luangwa’s most luxurious safari camps, set beneath ancient msikizi trees on a sweeping bend of the Luangwa River. The camp has five luxury safari tents and one two bedroom, two bathroom family tent, each designed with canvas, timber, reed, leather and linen for a refined yet deeply natural safari feel. Every tent has a private pool, generous verandah, spacious interiors, eco cooled sleeping area, soaking tub with riverfront views and WiFi in the tent.
The main lodge sits high above the river, with open dining spaces, a bar, fire pit, lounge and riverfront deck. It feels polished without losing the romance of a traditional bush camp, with quiet spaces for reading, private dining and long afternoons watching the river. Days are shaped by guided exploration in one of the most wildlife rich areas of South Luangwa National Park. Guests can enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, walking safaris, cultural visits, seasonal boating safaris and the Time + Tide Sleepout Under the Stars. In room spa treatments are available, and a 20 minute welcome massage is included.
Chinzombo is open all year and welcomes children of all ages. Rates include accommodation, all meals, standard drinks, transfers to and from the local airport except Jeki, local inter camp road transfers, laundry, service charge and two daily activities. Reserve spirits, premium wines and champagnes, flights, visas, spa treatments beyond the welcome massage, gratuities and personal expenses are excluded.
